Read John Maher's response to California Sunday Magazine's September 27, 2020 piece about the Clint Lorance case here: https://rb.gy/bf2tbr. Instead of the fair and even-handed story that was promised in exchange for the defense team’s agreement to speak on the record and offer substantial background material, the piece turned out to be a “hit job” accusing President Trump of abdicating his duties as commander-in-chief to the conservative media. An article with this goal in mind needed to paint Clint as guilty, of course, so it omitted at least ten facts material to Clint case. Apparently California Sunday Magazine will not the truth get in the way of a good story during an election year.
